Go Public Schools Fresno Report Calls For More Flexibility In FUSD

A new report from a local education reform group is calling for big changes in the Fresno Unified School District. Called Choosing Our Future 2.0, the document is from Go Public Schools Fresno, calls for new personalized accountability measures for students, and for personalized student success plans. It also calls for the district to embrace new school models, something that has generated controversy among some members of the Fresno Teachers Association and others, who claim it’s an effort to boost charter schools in the district. We talked with the Go Public Schools Fresno leader Diego Arambula who says he wants district leadership to adopt the document and embrace its principles.
