Congressional Hopeful John Hernandez on Valley Edition

John Hernandez

The race for California’s 21st congressional district is one of the most watched in the state and for that matter the nation. Three top candidates are vying for a shot to be among the top two finishers in the June primary, in order to move on to November.

A few months ago the incumbent, Republican Congressman DavidValadaojoined us onValley Edition, and last week Democratic challenger AmandaRenteriawas our guest. Today we talk to another candidate, Fresno Democrat John Hernandez. Hernandez is no stranger to politics – he ran for this very seat two years ago, defeating fellow Democrat BlongXiong in the primary, only to lose to Valadao in November. We talked about how Hernandez hopes to help the district, and his positions on everything from high speed rail to immigration reform.
