Visit the River Center Art Gallery to take in the beauty of the local riparian environment through masterfully placed brushstrokes by members of the San Joaquin Plein-Aire Painters group. Discuss the exhibit with the artists themselves on February 1 for an opening reception. Light refreshments will be provided.

Local Veterans organizations and community service organizations will be on hand to provide refreshments. Internationally acclaimed rock n’ roll pianist, Jared Freiburg, will be performing his high-energy show “PIANOMANIA!” in the Harvey Auditorium at Bakersfield High School. He's been performing 1950's era music since he was a teenager. With legends like Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino and Ray Charles as his role models and sources of inspiration, Freiburg channeled his talents into a hugely successful career as a touring musician, performing in venues of all sizes around the world.
Guitarist Will Brahm will be bringing his trio, featuring Rick Montalbano on drums and Dennis Hamm on electric keys, from Los Angeles. The trio’s unique ability to build lush sonic landscapes with soaring guitar melodies make them a musical experience far greater than the sum of its parts. There will be an open Q&A as Will discusses composition and the tonal roles of guitar in music.
