Today on Young Artist's Spotlight we feature the last of three programs showcasing soloists from the programs of Youth Orchestras of Fresno. Host David Aus is joined this week by the following:

This week on Young Artists Spotlight we feature five violin soloists who are who are studying with instructor Limor Toren-Immerman. All are also members of Youth Orchestras of Fresno (YOOF) and they represent all three of YOOF's orchestras, the Youth Chamber Orchestra (YCO), the Youth Symphony Orchestra (YSO) and the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (YPO).

This week on Young Artists Spotlight we feature more music for guitar ensemble, this time with the Lindsay Guitars of Lindsay High School from Tulare County. These talented students have been repeat guests on Young Artists Spotlight, and this year, they performing everything from Hollywood film themes to guitar classics. 

Today on Young Artists Spotlight, we hear talented young string players from the orchestra. First, Benjamin Pegram and Joshua Hahm perform two movements each from J.S. Bach's Partita No. 2 for solo violin. Those performances are followed by a string quintet, which performs Franz Schbuert's String Quintet in C major.

Today on Young Artists Spotlight we hear a performance from two classical guitar ensembles from Central Unified School District in Fresno, led by instructor Brian Garcia. He writes this about his students and the guitar program:

On the 2017 season debut of FM89's Young Artists Spotlight we hear music from two students from Fresno's University High School, oboe soloist Layla Stefanacci and piano accompanist Mylan Biltz. Layla is a senior at UHS and was selected as a member of the National Honor Orchestra, Principal of the California State Honor Orchestra, Principal of the Youth Orchestras of Fresno and many other accolades as well.  She is currently applying to some of the top music schools in the country. Pianist Mylan Biltz is also a senior at UHS and has been playing piano for 14 years.
