Valley Edition: May 10 - Living In Misery; Kyle Carter For Bakersfield Mayor; Kern County Library

This week on Valley Edition FM89's Jeffrey Hess reports on anew tax that could bring a boost to Kern County Libraries. We are also joined by Fresno Bee Journalists Barbara AndersonBoNhia Leeand Andrea Castillo to talk about their reporting on blight in Fresno. KVPR's Ezra David Romero also reports on how giant sequoia trees are benefiting from the Rough Fire that burned over 150,000 acres of forest in the Sierra Nevada last year. We also hear the story of an artist that creates work around the Bracero Program. Ending the show Bakersfield Mayoral Candidate Kyle Carterjoins the program to share his vision for city.
