This week on Valley Edition reporter Ezra David Romero visits the World Ag Expo in Tulare, Calif. We are also joined by Valley farmer Paul Betancourt who talks about the state of agriculture in the region. Later in the program VE host Joe Moore interviewsNiki Caro, the director of the upcoming film McFarland, USA, on how she found inspiration in the region for the film. We end the program with a conversation between Moore and Fresno Grand OperaGeneral Director Matthew Buckman on changes coming to the group.

Joe Moore is the President and General Manager of KVPR / Valley Public Radio. He has led the station through major programming changes, the launch of KVPR Classical and the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his leadership the station was named California Non-Profit of the Year by Senator Melissa Hurtado (2019), and won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for investigative reporting (2022).
